Privacy Policy – vargronn.com

This Privacy Notice provides information about how Vårgrønn AS (in the following referred to as “Vårgrønn” or “we”) processes personal data and your rights to have your data corrected and/or deleted.

1. What is personal data?

Personal data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable living individual. Different pieces of information, which collected together can lead to the identification of a particular person, also constitute personal data.

When you use our website and/or are in contact with us either as a supplier, or to order items from us, or in any other way, Vårgrønn AS may process personal data concerning you. In the following you will find information about the personal data that we process, why we process these data, and your rights in connection with data processing.

2. Who is the responsible Data Controller for the personal data collected on the Vårgrønn website

Vårgrønn is the data controller as defined in the Norwegian personal data regulations implementing the European General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR). Vårgrønn processes your personal data in accordance with these regulations. If you have any questions concerning Vårgrønn’s processing of personal data, please contact us at privacy@vargronn.com. When you ask us about information about your personal data, we are obligated to respond as quickly as possible, and no later than one calendar month after we receive your enquiry.

If we make significant changes to our Privacy Policy or to our privacy practices, an updated version of this Privacy Policy will be published on our website.

3. What gives us the right to store and process your personal data?

In any case where we store and/or process your data, we must have a legal basis for this. The legal basis relevant when we collect personal data through the Vårgrønn website, is your consent, typically given in the form of a checkbox on a contact form.

We also acquire and process personal data for a number of different purposes, depending on the reason for the processing and how we come into contact with you:

  • To respond to enquiries that we receive, we process names, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and any personal data that may result from the enquiry. This processing of personal data is carried out on the basis of a balance of interests. We consider that such processing is often necessary in order for us to assist you with your enquiries.
  • To process personal data for contact persons acting for our customers, suppliers and other business partners, as well as potential customers and suppliers. Information that we process is limited to contact information, and processing is carried out on the basis of a balance of interests by which we believe that we have a legitimate interest in the processing of contact information, and where such interest, in our judgement, does not outweigh consideration of the personal privacy rights of the person or persons registered.

The following information is stored in our customer register and archive system:

  • Name of customer, address and telephone number
  • Bank account number (for autogiro customers)

We store any information that you send directly via e-mail, or enter in the contact form, so that we can provide you with the best service possible. We draw your attention to the fact that enquiries that you send via e-mail are not encrypted. For this reason, we ask you to refrain from sending us confidential, sensitive or other restricted information either by e-mail or on the forms you complete on our website.

4. What are your rights when we process your personal data?

You can change your mind at any point and withdraw your consent. You have a right to know what personal information we have stored, to have that information updated/corrected, to request restriction of specific data, to object to processing and in certain cases to have the information deleted from our systems. To exercise your rights, please contact us at privacy@vargronn.com. You can find out more about your rights on the website of the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (NDPA, Datatilsynet) at www.datatilsynet.no.

When you ask us about information about your personal data, or to modify or delete your data, we are obligated to respond as quickly as possible, and no later than one calendar month after we receive your enquiry.

For customers and suppliers, we retain contact person's personal data for as long as it is necessary to meet the purpose for which the data were first acquired. For example, we may store your personal data to fulfill our legitimate business purposes, to fulfill our contractual obligations or if required by law or regulation. If you want us to delete information about you, we will of course comply, provided that we are not obliged to continue to store said information, e.g. in order to adhere to local accounting or bookkeeping requirements. This means that we may retain certain personal data for a longer period after your relationship with us has ended. Any personal data collected with consent as legal basis, will be deleted if you withdraw your consent, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
